An Update on the House
Thankfully I had my grandmother with me, and she helped me narrow it down to oh, about ten samples. We looked at sample houses and how they had their window trim painted. We meticulously matched every gray sample with every shade of white they had. in the end, I went with Pewter Cast and Origami white.
We had the painters come out earlier this week and make our new house beautiful! It wasn't exactly what I had envisioned, but I love it anyway.
Brandon and I had a slight disagreement about the front door color. His choice won out in the end. Our front door is now a beautiful Crabby Apple.
Check this post and this post to see a few before pictures. It's incredible to see how far we've come.
I love this color combo. The gray and white is so classic and the red door really pops. Looks lovely!
ReplyDeleteIt looks beautiful, Alisha! And yes, I don't think you realize there can be 50 shades of white until you buy a house. Our living room had at least 8 different samples painted on the wall before we decided on a color combo.
ReplyDeleteI wish I could paint my front door! It's a very boring beige. :(
Happy week!
it's always nice to let the man just win because then he has to do nice things for you until you decide things are balanced. (:
ReplyDeleteI love the colors especially the door! I love doors that are pretty reds, blues or greens instead of the normal wooden colored doors.

is is bad that I'm going to side with Brandon and tell you I love the Crabby Apple? :)
ReplyDeleteIt really looks so great with the grey and white you choose.
Lovely!
I was wondering how the house was coming along! (: I love those colors you chose. The door definitely pops. I can't wait to see some updated photos of the inside now. Hope you've had a great week!
