Home Sweet Home
A few months ago, Brandon and I started looking for a new place to call home. We finally to decided call it quits in the renting scene. Nothing like the feeling of just flushing money down the drain. So, we searched to find a more permanent place to call home. We looked at a couple different houses. Homes which all seemed to be what we thought we wanted - a place to raise a family, a big lawn, a swing set, and a street where our kids can ride their bikes or an ice cream truck can drive by. Basically, we wanted a house in the 50s! :)
Well, after several months of searching for a new home and never feeling at peace about each home, we stopped looking. We decided to pray about the move and ask our Heavenly Father to show us His will for our lives. Little did we know God had a plan for us all along.
Guys, we have found our new home!! And, we couldn't be happier! The best thing about our house, it was free. The drawback to the term 'free' - we have to finish building it. But, that's actually the best part. We get to start from scratch. We get to pick out everything. We get to design every little detail that goes in to our new home, from the flooring and the gorgeous white cabinets in our kitchen, to the crown molding in the living room and the claw foot tub in our master bath!!
I can't wait to get designing now!! Somebody get me a hammer. Here are some of the first few 'before' pictures...
There's no place like home.
