Another Year Older

Today is my birthday (weeeeee!!). Today I turn another year older. Today I turn 25 (geeze, that sounds old). Today I woke up with air in my lungs, blood coursing through my veins, more gray hair and really, really bad breath. Just ask Brandon, I'm sure he'd be happy to tell you all my flaws and more.

But, in spite of the gray hairs, bad breath and other superficial things that I can always cover up, I'm really excited where my life is right now. I am truly blessed. Blessed beyond any one person could ever measure. I'm married to a really great guy who loves me, I have a brand new home to decorate and make our own, a family that loves me, and a really exciting future ahead of me. It doesn't get much better than that in my book.

 

This morning we spent Christmas with my side of family. We made the trip to San Antonio to my parents' home. There's just something about coming back home. We had our traditional Christmas breakfast with moutain high piles of homemade pankcakes and maple syrup, scrambled eggs, bacon and sausage and four pots of coffee. Hey, we go big ALL the time. ;P

 

Then after stuffing our bellies and opening up Christmas presents and taking family pictures we decided it was time to have cake and open up even more (birthday) presents. We really like to party! We love to have a good time. And birthdays are always a really good excuse to get together and have a party!
