The Obsession Continues (Again): The Countdown
This is probably by far the coolest animated countdown widget I've ever seen! The Hunger Games is almost here. C'mon March 23rd!
(Bare with me, it takes a minute to load, but totally worth it!)
And these are just a few of my favorite quotes:
"But it wasn't her. It was the boy. In his arms, he carried two large loaves of bread that must have fallen into the fire becasyse the crusts were scorched black."
"Our eyes only met for a second, then he turned he head away. I dropped my gaze, embarrassed, and that's when I saw it. The first dandelion of the year."
"To this day, I can never shake the connection between this boy, Peeta Mellark, and the bread that gave me hope, and the dandelion that reminded me that I was not doomed."
"I had just turned away from Peeta Mellark's bruised face when I saw the dandelion and I knew hope wasn't lost."
"And I heard my father's voice joking, 'As long as you can find yourself, you'll never starve.'"
These, and so many others, are the reasons why I LOVE the boy with bread. He saved Katniss. He gave her hope in her darkest hour. He was her hero.
