Permission NOT to be perfect

We all make mistakes. End of story.

The world is filled with pressure to perform and excel, but when people fall short, they need a word of kindness that lets them know they are still accepted and valued.

When you are with people who make mistakes, immediately try to remind them of their strengths or of something amazing you have seen them do recently.

The apostle Paul taught people to encourage and build up others, and he frequently reminded them to keep doing it. "Therefore encourage (admonish, exhort) one another and edify (strengthen and build up) one another, just as you are doing." 1 Thessalonians 5:11

The Holy Spirit lives in us and walks alongside us in life. He urges us to become all we can be. When we make mistakes, He does not condemn us, but urges us forward.

We all need to be encouraged every once in a while. Take some out of your day and give someone a little encouragement for their day. Make a deliberate decision to be kind and encouraging when people make mistakes.

Give them permission NOT to be perfect.

Happy Monday, friends!! I hope today is a wonderful start to an awesome week for you :)

  2. That is so important, it helps people bounce back and keep rolling when things don't go right. I have to give myself permission not to be perfect all the time.
