PMS + Halloween candy = TROUBLE!

I wanted to be a step ahead this year, so I bought candy for halloween a few weeks ago. {Last year I searched a handful of Walgreens frantically at the last minute because I didn't have any candy for the stir-crazed Halloween treat-or-treaters.} Trust me, you've got to be armed with plenty of ammo, or you're going to be labeled as the wicked witch of the west by all your neighbors and have one angry mob of very unhappy kids at your front door come Halloween night.

Anyway, now I have to make another trip back to the store for MORE candy because for some reason {insert PMS excuse here} I don't have anymore. And, it's the day before Halloween. I've really got to get this obsess-and-eat-everything-in-sight-because-I'm-on-my-period thing under control. I've already gained 3 pounds because of it. No FAIR, Halloween!! No Fair.

Oh, Halloween, you really are more trouble than you are worth. What's even worse, it's even happening to husband too. Today he ate a dozen cookies. Though, I don't know what his excuse is. ;)

  1. Good luck girl, I just got off mine and I'm pretty sure I gained four pounds solely off Halloween candy!

  2. I know exactly how you feel right now! I had to go get a bag of m&ms today because I was craving chocolate so much. I'll be ready for my period and Halloween to be gone!

  3. I so know what you're feeling! I've completely avoided buying any candy for that exact reason. I don't have to hand any out in my condo so it's safe :)
I will be going to a friends tomorrow to hand out though {love seeing the kiddies dressed up} and i'm sure i'll get my sugar fill in the process :)

  11. Haha. I stayed away from Halloween candy this year! We didn't buy any and I avoided most places where they had free candy off and on over the past week. I'd like to say this was the easy part, but Thanksgiving and Christmas are waaay worse for me!

  13. This is why I didn't buy candy early...I couldn't even blame it on PMS. I just am such a candy lover/eater, I can't control myself ;) Happy Halloween!

  14. I *totally* understand. I managed to keep the candy out of our house until this afternoon... and I just finished off the bag. No lie. I feel super gross and ever so slightly okay with it... le sigh.

  18. next year hae your husband pick up the candy and then hid it somewhere in your house. that is my solution :-) if i don't know where it is i can't find it then and then he brings it out halloween day either that buy the candy you really really don't like and then you won't be tempted to eat it.

  19. Do you really need an excuse to eat a dozen cookies? I say deliciousness is enough :)
