Tea. It does a body good.
Or was that milk? I forget.
Growing up in Texas, sweet tea was a staple in our household. Either that or Kool-Aid (sometimes mom would buy the off brand, Flavor aid. Worse decision ever. But, that's a whole other post!).
So, besides being a household staple, come to find out, tea is actually good for you. Some benefits include keeping you hydrated, protecting against cancer, and boosting your immune system.
Forget all that, it tastes good! That's the only thing that matters.

Tea is also good for those little tickles you get in your throat. Add a little lemon and honey, and you've got yourself a healthy remedy to heal a sore throat.

ReplyDeleteLove me some sweet tea! Growing up in Mississippi sweet tea was a MUST for every meal so I totally understand. I love trying new teas now. There are so many different varieties and flavors out there.
ReplyDeleteI love tea, too!!
ReplyDeleteDo you ever drink Celestial Seasonings tea? It has a special place in my heart because it's made in Colorado and I've toured the factory a couple times (the mint room is kind of one of my favorite places in the world). But I also love the little tea bags because every one has a quotation printed on the tag. :)

ReplyDeleteIf only we Texans didn't load it down with sugar... it would be so much healthier. Sigh.
