Ramblings of an off week

Maybe it was the long weekend I had (pictures coming soon) or maybe it's the fact that this week is just FLYING by.  Seriously, it's already Thursday?!!  But, I'm feeling a little off this week.  I keep getting my days confused.  I feel like I'm standing still and simply watching my life fly right by.  When I look back on the past few days I know that I lived those days, I know that I got up, got dressed and went to work, came home, cooked dinner, showered and went to bed.  And I know I breathed every breathe, but my mind sees it all as one big blur.

I don't want to wake up one day 80 years old and wonder where my life went, Rip Van Winkle style.  I need to take control of my life again.  I want to remember every breathe.  I want to actually taste my food.  I want to live my life.

So. My first step in taking control of my life - I stopped to smell the roses...

  3. what a great reminder alisha, it is hard to stop and slow down and just be still. this crazy thing called life can really sweep you up and get you away from the place you really want to be. hope you stop and smells the roses a bit more frequently :-)

  9. For as much beauty as the summertime brings, it sure tends to bring whirlwind days as well. Bravo on remembering the little things.

  10. Isn't it amazing how fast time seems to go by these days. Sometimes I feel like I'm just a robot going through the day. You're so right, if we don't slow down and soak in each of these moments, we'll be old and gray before we know it!

Thanks for the reminder Alisha :)
