Small Town Suburb
So. We've lived in our small town that sits on the outskirts of Houston for a full year now. I have yet to walk the quiet streets. Yet to wander aimlessly. Yet to fully explore my surroundings. Well, Thursday I did just that. And, let me tell you, I was amazed. How can a place so small hold so much beauty?
I found a small courtyard behind the First State Bank with this beautifully painted wall. Crapemyrtles filled the space with splashes of purple and green with the smell of bbq in the air from the nearby restaurant. I took a second to snag a few shameless outfit shots for day 18 of 30.

After walking just a few blocks (and by few I mean 10 grueling blocks) further out of town I came across the city garden center that I had no idea even existed. It was so pretty. Someone really spent a lot of time with this place. For them, I am thankful. Thankful that I could wander into a space so beautiful then be able to share it with you. The smell of roses in the air. The cool breeze coming off the water. The sound of the windmill rustling in the wind. Just peaceful. And quiet. So quiet. Might have to come back to this place more often.

Hope your weekend is a happy weekend.
It's so funny how we sometimes don't realize how much is surrounding us. There's this entire little community behind the grocery store that I go to weekly. I JUST discovered it like 3 weeks ago. I've been living here for years! So sad. lol
