Awkward and Awesome Thursday
Top: Husband's, Skirt: ModCloth, Belt & Watch: Francesca's Collection,
Necklace: IHOD, Shoes: Palis Royal
Awkward:
- Scrambling to run and find a pair of pants because the UPS guy is at the door.
- Making eye contact with random strangers when you find yourself laughing at their conversation then trying to look away as quick as possible.
- When your neighbor offers to take your outfit pictures for you.
- Trying to explain the 30 for 30 challenge to your neighbor and the blog you write.
- Realizing you had an audience all along trying to take your own pictures.
Awesome:
- Having dinner and a movie with husband last night. Frozen pizza for dinner and an OnDemand movie. Yep, I'm a cheap date!
- Finally getting a much needed vacation.
- Seeing family I haven't seen in years this weekend.
- Finally finishing the 30 for 30 challenge even if it did take 60 days to complete.
- The fact that I worked husband's shirt into my 30 for 30, and it actually looks decent!
Um, yeah it looks decent. It looks great actually!!! Very cute, as always Alisha! :)
ReplyDeleteDo you use a tripod for your pics? Just curious.
AHAHA I knew it!! I told you the neighbours watch, hahaha
ReplyDeleteHehe, I've had to scramble for pants when the UPS guy showed up before too. Dude, where's my pants?! (:
ReplyDeleteFrozen dinner and a movie sounds like the perfect date to me!
p.s. I'm still in love with that bright modcloth skirt!

Hi Friend,
ReplyDeleteJust catching up over here and I pretty much laughed the whole way through the awkward moments. Seriously relate. I tried to explain the blog the other day to someone and it sounded so nonsensical. oh well. Also- have totally been there with the postman thing. HAHAHAHA! It is an instant panic attack.
And we pretty much did the same thing with our husbands last night. So fun.

ReplyDeleteoh my goodness and i laughed outloud about trying to explain the 30 for 30 and your blog to someone ... silly real life people without blogs, they just don't understand (;
haha I love the awkward moments! I've faced the same weirdness explaining to my neighbor my blog.
ReplyDeleteAnd I'm always scrambling for a top for the UPS guy. What I wear around the house (to stay cool) isn't appropriate for outside people. haha
i love it :)

I've started the 30 for 30 challenge this week. And it is good to know that I don't actually have to stick the 30 days, but more or less with 30 outfits.
ReplyDeleteAnd by the way your husband's shirt looks great!
I love that outfit (and the fourth picture of you is a great one!).
ReplyDeleteI like your skirt, dear
