Good food and family

Hi sweetums! You sleep ok?! Good. Well, since it's morning (or afternoon, or nighttime wherever you are in the world) let's talk food. I can't really remember the last time I was able to sit down and eat a decent breakfast. Do you eat breakfast? Usually my mornings are go-go-go, and I'm in such a  rush  that I completely skip breakfast. I know, I know, most-important-meal-of-the-day right?! Well this morning, I  took my time waking up and getting out of bed, smelled that fresh aroma of coffee beans and made an honest to goodness healthy breakfast for myself. Hopefully this won't be the last time this happens because my tummy sure was happy afterwards! :)

Today, B and I are taking a road trip to see a few family members we haven't see in a LONG time, and some we just saw last month. We'll probably hear granny say  "Now, listen here sonny.." and she'll  rant and rave  about  how things were different back in her younger years. Well, Granny, things have changed now. And, by the way, I'm a girl. Aren't family reunions just splendid?

Anywho, it'll be good, clean, family fun. Don't worry, I'll bring back pictures of our adventure!!

  1. Haha... this made me smile!! And also made me hungry.

I've been making it a point to eat a suuuper healthy breakfast every day (including three different vitamins), and my energy level throughout the day has increased DRAMATICALLY! Even if you don't have much time in the morning, try eating a big bowl of raw frut, a little handful of almonds, and a piece of whole grain toast with peanut butter or butter. It takes 5 minutes to make, and it will give you energy all throughout the day! ;)

  2. Yum, coffee and fruit salad. I love being able to have a slow lazy breakfast but during the week its not usually possible.

  3. That all looks so delicious! I need to go eat breakfast now haha.

I've been having lots of fruit salads lately - cutting up fresh fruit, pretty much like the one you have here - and it's so good for breakfast or even just a snack. I love it!

  4. oooh that breakfast looks yummy. I never skip breakfast coz my mom prepares it for me, but I haven't had a really really good breakfast, though. She normally makes me sandwiches. Have a great weekend!

  5. Yum! I used to skip breakfast too but for about a year and half now I try to eat breakfast everyday and it REALLY makes a difference in my energy level throughout the day!

Have fun with Granny this weekend! Can't wait to hear about it when you return. :)

  8. I must always, always eat breakfast. Usually wheat cereal and skim milk. The Bird and I had big plans today to have breakfast at a french bakery but the winter weather here in Sydney killed our aspirations. I'm looking forward to pictures from your family reunion, I just post about my trip to the Opera House yesterday~
