DIY Necklace under $10
Hello Beautiful! How are you today? Did you sleep ok last night? Small talk is seriously under rated! No lie. :) Well I hope you are doing just dandy. So, today, we're talking about jewelry, but not just any jewelry, DIY jewelry. To keep things simple, I kept the amount under $10.
I'm a big fan of jewelry! What girl isn't, right?! Well, the other day I was browsing through Hobby Lobby looking for a frame when somehow I ended up on the complete opposite side of where the frames were located wandering through aisle after aisle of beads, pendants, chains, clasps, elastic string - good Lord, the list goes on and on. It was a little overwhelming to say the very least. I was flooded with idea after idea just looking at all the merchandise practically falling off the shelves. After a nice debate with myself about what I should make, I finally decided to buy a 60" silver chain, 2 pendants, and a package of jump rings. I figured I could take the chain apart and make two separate necklaces.
Here is my before and after:
cool! I love the big flower one! I think this is definitely something to brag about - I would have NEVER thought of or figured out how to make that! I'm impressed :)
ReplyDeleteVery nice Alisha! I've always wanted to learn to make jewelry. A friend of mine bought me this entire jewelry making kit a few years back with tools and beads and everything but I've never taken the time to actually use any of it. Boo to me. Maybe one day...
ReplyDeleteBeautiful! Funny how you go to Hobby Lobby to buy something but end up leaving with something else. ;) It almost always happens that way doesn't it? I just love your flower necklace! Way to have some bling on a budget. (:
ReplyDeleteWe just got a hobby lobby in my town last month. My besty and I were just talking today about going there this weekend. Funny.
ReplyDeletewow! great idea! those are awesome :)

We don't have Hobby Lobby where I live, but we do have Michael's stores and I might have to try this! Those are so cute and definitely a plus if they're easy on the wallet!
ReplyDeleteI think they're awesome... especially cuz now they're mine!! Happy Mother's Day to me from my sweet, lovable, hugable Lyssy!! I have worn them proudly and everyone is amazed when I tell them "my daughter" made them for me! Can't wait to see what's in store for Christmas... :) I <3 U ~mom
