The Maxi Dress

Maxi dresses are all the craze right now. They are comfortable, stylish, and can be worn everywhere. You can dress it up, dress it down, wear it to the office or to the pool. Anyone can wear a maxi dress no matter their size. Just be sure to consider the style for your height and shape.

Take me for example, I'm 5'5" and to avoid looking shorter than I am, I look for empire waisted dresses and wear tall wedge heels. You also don't want to look like a tent at the circus, so look for a fitted dress that accents your best features (ie. your waist or hips).

If you're a bit busty up top (read: your girls are large), look for a halter with large straps. This style is ideal to slim your figure down and very flattering. Which will also take some wandering eyes away from the ladies and have people looking at your beautiful face!

**I'm no style expert, so take it for what it's worth. And that's not much.

Thank you husband, for putting up with my nagging persistence about taking pictures for my blog. You're the bestest.

Oh, and here's something they don't advertise when buying sweaters such as this one: when you go to the bathroom, be sure to lift up your dress AND said sweater. Those stupid straps fell in the damn toilet. Now, who really wants to walk around all day looking like they have wet tail? #Fail.

  1. I LOVE maxi dresses! I have quite a few. My boyfriend, who admitted that he would "maybe" notice an outfit only if I wore it four times in a row, even suggested "maybe you shouldn't buy more of those long dresses." Hmm... hint maybe? :)
