Love Letters

What used to be the only form of long distance communication, pen and paper have become a thing of the past. With technology soaring to new heights everyday, our electronic world has put hand written anything (letters, notes, cards, etc.) obsolete. Honestly, I can't remember the last time I wrote a letter, much less a hand written love letter. But nothing says 'I love you' more than a hand written love letter showing your affection.

So, with Valentine's day here, the day we celebrate love and romance, what a perfect opportunity to bring back a little bit of history and write a love letter to the one person in my life who loves me for me, who appreciates me, who takes care of me, and who promised me he'd love me till death, and celebrate our love...

When you love someone: you think about him and simply smile, your heart leaps every time he calls, you feel like he is your prince, and you are his princess, you get excited just knowing he's yours, and you love spending every minute with him (ok, maybe that one's just me!).

I'll spare you on all the mushy gushy stuff in my lovely letter and save that for Brandon. ;)

But I guess some people would just rather send a simple text or phone call because writing may not be their forte. And that's OK. But I do hope that you take advantage of this lovely holiday! Single or taken, I hope you have the best Valentine's day possible!! Love and be loved. Be vulnerable. Be romantic. Be spur-of-the-moment. Be sexy. But don't be afraid to put your heart out there today. You never know what might be in store for you!

And, if you're up for a little valentine's love and want to know how Brandon and I met, read this!

Happy Valentine's my loves,

P.S. Happy birthday to the sweetest mother in the world!! Happy Birthday Mom! I love you! I hope you have the best birthday EVER on this lovely Valentine's day!

  2. Love this post! I couldn't agree more, handwritten love letters are one of my favorites things to do, leave them laying around or under a pillow for someone to find when they are about to go to bed.. so romantic & perfect!

    Happy Valentine's Day!

  3. Oh Alisha so sweet & I agree 100% people are so lazy these days with communication. I miss the days of letter writing, phone calls instead of text & life without FBing to stay in contact.

    Happy Valentines Day Sweet Friend!
