How I Gained 10lbs by Walking through the Carnival
Funnel cake, caramelized popcorn, chili dogs, jumbo corn dogs, turkey legs and anything you can image fried (twinkies, pickles, ice cream and snickers bars – the list goes on and on). Carnivals always have tons of food that have the potential to give you diabetes, a heart attack, and possibly even death.
Brandon and I went to Houston rodeo a few days ago, and, in the midst of walking to the rodeo arena, we pushed through the sweaty crowd, multitude of baby strollers, and crazy carnival people playing games and chomping down on the world’s most unhealthy foods known to man. I swear we gained 10lbs just walking through the carnival.
Now I promise, you won’t actually gain any weight, but do be ware when you venture out to carnivals, the food is quite tempting. But, in spite of all the crazy people and all the unhealthy food, I did have the opportunity to grab this shot. My absolute favorite image of all time, and the most iconic image of a carnival, the Ferris wheel. Sure wish we could’ve taken a ride on top of that baby, but the line was simply outrageous.
Next time.
Oooo great shot! Have you ever tried fried cheesecake on a stick? OMG - its soooo good!!! I have to make sure I'm not starving before going to events like those...lol
ReplyDeleteI love that shot too!
ReplyDeleteOne of my favorite carnival foods (and mind you I live in Southeast Missouri) is a deep fried snickers! Yum-o! Definitely worth the miles of running :)
Did someone say funnel cake?! I love those things! And it's so weird that you posted about this today because last week I had a dream that I was walking through a carnival with my husband and started going nuts over the funnel cakes! I think that this is a sign that I need to eat a funnel cake very soon! lol

Too funny. Surprisingly I am not one for fried food. I guess it's just as well. I do want to try a fried candy bar... Just to see what it's like.
